Reflections on InfoComm India 2022

We were a little apprehensive as to what to expect – what solutions would the visitors want to see? How would they react to Scala’s line-up of solutions? What would the turnout be like?
Fortunately, our hard work over the last few months paid off and I am glad to say that Scala’s showcase was an absolute success. Featuring a bright, modern design with red, white and black accents, the 120 sqm Scala booth stood out prominently and exuded an attractiveness that could not be ignored.
The theme for this year was “Reconnect. Refresh. Revitalize.” About 50,000 visitors attended the tradeshow, all eager to check out new AV and integrated experience solutions to help reboot their business. The turnout at the Scala booth was fantastic and we offered an interactive, engaging experience for the audience, with live demonstrations of various Scala solutions. The feedback from the audience was very encouraging – many visitors were excited to see Scala in a physical show in Asia-Pacific for the first time.
It was an opportune time to connect with other brands and stakeholders in the AV/Martech industry. During our conversations it was apparent that the brand awareness of Scala was high in India – many had heard about us, or read about our company, and it was heartening to note that most described Scala as a “full-solution digital signage company”.
Scala made a solid impression at InfoComm India, complete with the launch of the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) and Passenger Information Display System (PIDS), as well as a comprehensive range of solutions for various industries including Retail, QSR, Airport, Metro Rail, and Grocery.
The stars of the show were the LINQ Shelf Edge Display, LINQ All-In-One Intelligent Tablet, Virtual Helpdesk and Digital Menu Board. The LINQ Shelf Edge Display was admired by visitors for its eye-catching clarity and versatility, while the LINQ intelligent tablet offered an ideal POS solution that delivers best-in-class immersive digital experiences.
The Virtual Helpdesk garnered much attention for its novel combination of the latest technologies and real personal contact. Meanwhile, interest in the Digital Menu Board was very strong, signalling rapid digitalisation in the QSR sector.
3 days of the show went by in a flash. Months of hard work culminated in a spectacular showcase at the Scala booth. The experience of reconnecting with brands after 3 years of offline events was great and I was very encouraged to see how the visitors interacted with the technology.
Our Managing Director – APAC, Manish Kumar, hosted many C-suite executives from renowned brands and led fascinating discussions on the future of digital signage. In a brief interview, he shares his thoughts about the digital signage industry in India. Check out a snippet of the interview here.
“The pandemic has compelled many businesses to digitalise and propelled the overall demand for digital signage and martech solutions. We are witnessing tremendous growth in India. Scala is in the right place, at the right time, and well positioned for great success.”
